In 2026, after the Democrats' attempt to gerrymander each of Virginia's congressional districts in their favor, a Virginia State Supreme Court decision invalidated the Democrat pushed constitutional amendment. The US Supreme Court declined to intervene and as a result, the state's 2026 midterm elections will use the existing congressional map.
This election year we will be voting on federal offices with a United States Senate race and eleven congressional district contests. (Mark Warner is the Democratic Senator up for re-election in Virginia).
